Jayashri Triolo has been painting and drawing since she was a young child. Being an “artist” was her identity, this was how she made it thru her troubled and challenging early childhood. After being separated from her biological family at age three, making art is what got her thru life and she continues to discover that making art is her life’s work.
Putting herself thru Columbus College of Art & Design as a graphics arts specialist in the Ohio Army National Guard was one of her most rewarding yet challenging chapters of her life. After finishing art school and her enlistment in the National Guard, Jayashri worked as an assistant to master glass blowers for four years. (Blake Street Glass in Denver Colorado and Zellique Gallery in Benicia California)
In 1994 she moved to San Francisco where she began working in the corporate world and put her art on the back burner for several years. She continued to paint, draw, and weld, but earned her living thru the corporate business world. Her positions ranged from production artist for and international print brokerage and publishing company, Palace Press International, to assistant designer in technical product development with Levi Strauss Co. In 2001, Jayashri had her crash course in business development when she became office manager for a start up Hi Tech Company in Sonoma County California. Four years of she worked on everything from general administrative support, to writing the company handbook, to working on the company’s corporate identity.
During the course of the past ten years, Jayashri has managed to take on several commissioned art pieces and this is where she is gathering her inspiration for creating her new commissioned art business.
Her recent bodies of work have been inspired by her passion for horses and her travels to Indonesia.
